Short Bio

Yvonne Pederson Krause has drawn or painted since she was very little, completing her first painting of a horse when she was five years old. She graduated with a degree in Art/Design; then, taught on the university level as a graduate student. Although she received her master’s degree in a different field, she continued teaching some classes in basic drawing, design, and introduction to watercolors. She has shown work and received recognition, locally and regionally, as well as organized community art shows.

Statement

Reflection of inspiration is how I sum up my watercolors. Inspired by Nature when she provides her eye candy in the form of vistas, I capture a glimpse of the marvelous array of forms included in the show of colors emphasized by light and shadow.
